Silvester's blog

This is insane, from one great musician to another. Usually I hop from sim to sim to find music that sounds good but today at AdMiRe, I can just stay, listen and relax. And yes, writing to you to tell how good they are.

The second Brendan starts playing I feel it is good. He has a calming and beautiful voice and his guitarplay is in perfect balance. This is the music we want to hear. I really hope I can see more of his concerts and I hope you can to!

"A seasoned veteran of the Second Life live music circuit, Brendan refuses to be seduced by the lure of backing tracks. During more than ten years of SL performance, he listens carefully to any feedback and tries to establish a repertoire that appeals to a wide variety of tastes across the genres of traditional folk and more contemporary popular music."

While I am listening I am browsing his website, after all, we want to know all about the musicians! You can find the calendar on his website, but it would be more fun to just join his group and follow him around the grid.

This doesn't happen much but today I feel so overwhelmed with good music, I lost words to write! How crazy is that? So for today I will just relax and really enjoy the show. I think that is a bigger compliment than any blog!

Even though I am not long enough in SL to know this performer, my close friends whom I also know in RL are all going insane about this news. AndyDennis Enchanted is coming back to play his music in SL. So I am going to that show, as we shouldn't miss this. One of the people I know in RL is Twinky Waffle and she also is the one who organized this ComebackShow today. Andy and Twinky have been friends for many years so when she heard Andy wants to come back playing LIVE in sl, the date was set very quickly.

But not only the comeback is special today. Twinky also got Brendan Shoreland playing today at 11 AM, which will be a Venue-Debut. So we can stay here the next 2 hours!

Andy is about to start, let's hear what he has to bring!

"*Andy Dennis is a RL professional performer
*Musician (guitar & harmonica) Singer/Songwriter
*Acoustic Blues Folk Country Pop or Original
*Finger style, lead and rhythm guitar.
*Decades old harmonica player
All round, mature performer, with comedic style, wit and charm"

Wow, what a warm deep voice he has. And he's not playing just 1 but multiple instruments. This is what we can call MUSIC. I fully understand why people get so excited. He sure is a good artist. If you don't know him yet, make sure you go to his shows soon. Join his group so you know when and where he plays.

He is playing NOW February 26, 10 AM at AdMiRe

Sometimes, you have a product that just works so well, you have to share it with the world. So that's what I am doing today. Most of you know it, Subscribers. They are used to send information and objects to a large group of people who have intererest in that specific kind of information. Fans of a musician, a store with high quality clothing and even bloggers that want to let their fans know about the latest article.

Yes, most also have a SL-group, but with a subscriber you can reach also those people who are full in groups.

We also know there are many different kind of subscribers. And as with most things, it is what you need and you find easy. You have those that are webbased, which can be easy but I don't like the need to save another password in my mind and they usually come with a monthly fee to cover the server costs.

I have chosen (ok let's be real honest, my best friend told me to get this one as this was the best according to her) and I am more than happy with it. She was right, it is the best one! It is the SUBSCRIBER KIOSK!

You buy it and you do not have any monthly fees ever. It is not webbased, so you do not need to "bookmark" the website and get the login credentials in your head.

When you receive it, starting up is very easy. Unpack it, rezz the master. Change the texture and you can start to collect subscribers. But it isn't just good because of that. You also can find a specific config notecard to have a whole lot of specific configurations. That makes it a very flexible product that really makes your life so much easier.

And don't forget the service! If you have a problem. Send a notice to either Fred Allandale, the creator or to the SK Guru AerielleAmaiyah and your problem will be fixed in no-time! They will help with setting up (or ask Aerielle about the service to set it comepletely up for you) but they also help with chosing the right products for your needs. You also will find lots of information including video-tutorials on their website.

Aside that, there are so many products to make the Subscriber Kiosk not just a subscriber, but a very powerfull and very extended marketingtool. Almost all of the products created by Fred Allandale are connectible with the Subscriber Kiosk.

How about the greeter, a very easy to use welcoming device that can be used to hand out important information to your new guests. Where other greeters keep popping up everytime I land, even if it is a place I visited before, the SK Greeter has a special system so it does not bother your regular costumers everytime.

Are you a musician or DJ and you have a venue you play at on a regular basis? Use the Send Timer and you never have to worry if your fans get notified or not.

Sticking to Musicians or DJ's, there are some extremely flexible DJ/Artist Boards. Easily connectible to your Subscriber Kiosk and you can also get ALL you other informations in. And with the TouchPoint system your board can have all the buttons you want under just 1 LandImpact (1 Prim).

You just have to experience it yourself! From hosting tools, texturing hud's, creating magazines to a full marketing system and everything in between. It is all possible with the Subscriber Kiosk and the many additional products.

There are so many products, I can't mention all of them.. or can I? No, but there is a list with ALL the products and a short explanation of what they do. You can find that HERE.

And yes, they also have FREE GIFTSGo pick them up, check out the store.

Icky isn't new in SL, he is playing musici n his unique style for many years. And still, after all these years, it is a Debut! A venue Debut, meaning he is playing at V-Side Battery Row@Charleston for the first time. A perfect show to write about.

No matter if you are feeling blue, when Icky plays the Blues I never feel blue!

"Live singer and guitarist. Plays acoustic Blues and Delta slide in his own very special style, covers / versions of Elmore James, Son House, Muddy Waters and many more great Bluesmen."

Make sure you go hear him now, or at one of his other concerts, you can find all about him at his website. This website has his calendar but also youtubes with a few of the songs he does. You even can leave a message in the guestbook. Or, if you want information, make sure you contact his manager Aerielle.

As said, he is having his venue debut at V-Side Battery Row@Charleston. Original name I must say. The owners are Mandy and Scotspaul.

"V-Side Battery Row@Charleston. A sassy new club bringing you all genres from 50's to today's with our Live Dj's, Live Singers & Tribute Concerts Although we are gonna rock your bobbie socks, your leather pants and shades will fit right in too!!. It's a whole new cool way to party in SL."

I am hopping around today but this one, I can not let go unnoticed. This voice, this music. Calming and beautiful with a slight accent to make the music come alive. This is the music I hope to find every day that I am in SL.

"Da5id Weatherwax is a musician primarily in the folk tradition with a marked preference for ballads and story songs. His folk-music orientation most emphatically does not mean he restricts his repertoire entirely to older or traditional music, it's very much a "living" tradition and if it's a melody-driven song or has a good story to its lyrics he regards it as fair game if he can come up with an arrangement of it that suits his vocal range.

Musically, he began as a chorister in his local church and school choir where he advanced to be both choirs' principal treble soloist before the inevitable onslaught of adolescence on his vocal range brought his career as a classical vocalist to an abrupt halt. It didn't stop him singing altogether though and he began joining music circles in his local pub as soon as he looked old enough to not be promptly thrown out of the place. This early association with traditional music is the source of his drive to understand the history of the music he performs, to know about the events and circumstances surrounding the stories his songs tell and, where possible, to share that with his audience during performances.

Since that time he's been a semi-regular performer for over 30 years in venues on both sides of the Atlantic as varied as folk clubs, bars, church halls, street corners and subway stations, conventions, private parties and now online streaming to virtual venues. Although in the past he would frequently sing with his former wife and their daughter, he is now a solo performer.

Although he's familiar with several instruments he still regards his primary instrument as his voice and these days prefers to perform with a simple guitar accompaniment or occasionally a capella. He avoids pre-recorded backing tracks outside of karaoke bars, taking the view that "If I make a mistake then it proves it's all live, doesn't it?" and, for the same reason, generally restricts his use of audio effects to a little reverb on the main mix.

He generally doesn't take requests on the fly because he will normally come to a performance with a rehearsed (and timed to fit his slot) set list, however if there is a song that anyone wants which he either knows or can learn, he'll consider adding it to the rotation for future sets."

I can't get enough of this music. I am a Da5id fan!

Come see him, check his calendar to see when you can make it.

My first blog here on AvatarBook, hopefully not my last. It has been a while since I have written anything, so the way to go it just start.

Today I am listening to one of the best live musicians of SL: Paradorn Ansar.

"Paradorn (Para) brought his music into SL and quickly found his way into his fans hearts with his sexy rough voice and with his wellknown covers of rock, blues and country songs. Interaction and having fun with the crowd is what he loves to do."

He will never fail to touch your heart with his music, but he also can be in a crazy mood. He interacts with his audience and you will never know what it coming. You should really go and listen when you have the time.
